Mixed media installation incorporating photography, video, and textile, 2011. Exhibited as part of solo show at Bas Fisher Invitational.
Mixed media installation displaying remnants found, tossed on a large rock mound. According to witnesses, the swimsuits were worn by a group of single winged guards who rescued a boat full of people off the coast and disappeared soon after. A short bit of video, apparently shot by the guards, and a few photos of ritual body markings were also left behind. Using these remnants, I created this installation in honor of all of those who rescue people in danger while crossing borders, physical or psychological.
